"The quality and friendliness of this hotel was up to its usual high standards. Good choice for breakfast, full English was tasty and filling. The only downside we found was the bar, poor service, selection of cocktails and some prices were expensive. To the point we found a lovely friendly wee pub 5 minutes from the hotel and chose to go there instead for drinks."

"Stayed for one night, on our way back down from Scotland. Had a lovely time here, and wished we could have stayed longer. Arrived around 6pm, very easy parking and checking in to our room. Then had a lovely meal downstairs in the Penny Blue restaurant attached to the hotel. Food was served very quickly, and the staff were attentive. "This was a fantastic find for an overnight stay on our way to Glasgow, wish we could have stayed longer and explored the lake and surrounding areas. The bar and restaurant were very good and the couple who were managing the pub at the time of our stay were excellent hosts. There is plenty of parking and this very old pub has very modern rooms. Would defiantly recommend and stay again. "
