"Really beautiful hotel. Decor some of the best I’ve seen for a hotel, beautiful and stylish. The spa area was small but gorgeous. Staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Didn’t give full marks because - additional payment for outdoor pool (!£25) seems a bit money grabbing on top of the room rate. - related to this limited hours in spa for people staying at hotel detracted from experience - no gym. Found that a bit odd for a place otherwise set up for wellness . Just...

"Bright, clean and spacious room. Located right off the highway but in a lovely green space hidden away. The room was big with a large ensuite. It is a little dated but perfectly kept and clean and absolutely everything you could need - even an iron. Slept really well which is what you need when travelling. I would definitely stay here again. "

"We had a lovely stay at Gails. I received a phonecall earlier in the day from Lucy to say that the boiler was not working and they were unable to get anyone to fix it so they would be refunding us half of the cost back which was very nice of them as this was not their fault and these things happen. Checking in was easy, parking was fine, the room was lovely, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was included and was very nice. "Wonderful welcoming owners who make you feel at home the second you walk through the door. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the surronding area was very quiet so you get a peaceful nights sleep. Would definitely stay again!"

"Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. "
