"We liked the lakefront view and the room was spacious. We did not like the inability to safely walk across US 31. The road is a constant stream of traffic. There needs to be a safe crosswalk for hotel customers to cross to the mini golf and other attractions across the street."

"The hotel was lovely. It was in a great location, had a beautiful little beach and had everything we needed for a great stay. My kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub and I enjoyed our view. We had a suite and it was just lovely."

"This is a great place! The views from the rooms are wonderful. The restaurant is great too. The beach is sand but then turns to rocks so it might not be comfortable for children to play in the water, though."

"We really liked the hotel. What a great location! We had a room #215 overlooking the lake. Could see the lighthouse and the SS Badger coming and going. Our room had a 2 person jacuzzi tub as well. Also a balcony which was nice."

"The facility was excellent except for the breakfast offered. The non-hot offerings were fine, however, the two hot entrees offered both days were not so good. Powdered eggs both days, doctored with cheese the first day and then it was cheese and salsa mixed in the powdered eggs the second day. The French toast on the first day was over heated and it made the toast tough. The roasted potatoes on the second day were OK, however, some were not heated all the way through. "Right on Lake Huron next to forest. Can see Big Mac and Grand Hotel all lit up at night. Night time bonfires on beach with free smores. Breakfast - biscuits, gravy, powdered eggs, yogurt, apples, juice. Short drive to food, shops."

"Unfortunately with the road construction on Front Street and the building construction right next door to our room/ balcony, I couldn’t give it a five star. I did some floor exercises in our room and did notice a lot of dust on the chair legs - I have to remember to dust the chair leg-bars on my own chairs at home! Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. Kudos to them!"
