"I came here on my own and was greeted with a friendly smile of the lovely reception , although my room needed updating it was really cosy and had everyone needed The pool was a treat along the jacuzzi The restaurant food and staff were really lovely I will come here regularly for some quiet time as so safe and homely "

"This hotel has been renovated and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lova on the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The dining room wasn’t open as that part of the hotel is still being renovated but will be ready soon. The rates were very favorable and I would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Excellent, charming hotel. Not overly grand, but comfortable, clean, beautiful and extremely friendly. It felt like a home, like I wanted to just hang out in the lounge all day looking at the sea and chatting with people. It had a kind of magic that is hard to describe. The sea view from my room was spectacular, the bed was comfy, everything was as hoped. Above and beyond was the breakfast - easily the best I've ever had, with a ton of options, all of them first class. Dinner in the restaurant was also the best dinner I had in Eastbourne. It's a really great restaurant. The location was wonderful - west of the pier, where it's quieter and more genteel, with a gorgeous lawn right out front, and sea and promenade beyond it. You can walk to the pier in 10 minutes, but I was more impressed by the walk along the beach going the other way, towards Holywell, Italian Gardens and the South Downs. It was all much prettier than I expected. I am already planning my next trip back to the Lansdowne. It was a really great, relaxing trip. "

"Really lovely stay. I booked 5 rooms for a wedding and staff could not have been nicer. Special thanks to Tracey on reception and Ray in the bar. Only not picky points are that the shower wasn’t great and the beds were too soft. Powdermills is a beautiful hotel in a picture perfect setting"

"The staff at the Chatsworth were so friendly, and accomodating. It made our short stay even nicer, to recieve good customer service. The location of the hotel is great, as everything you need is within walking distance. The breakfast is very tasty. There was nothing we could fault with this hotel."
