"This is essentially a pole barn, and I assume it was once used as one, as indicated by the slight farm smell inside. The fact it's wide open is NOT a negative it's nice having room to move around, and the sleeping arrangements just work. Nobody (5) of us bothered the other while sleeping or staying up later than the rest. It worked out great. "Lovely central location, closer than we expected to the town which was fantastic! Well thought out items available on site. Accommodating hosts and although we had a flight to catch the later check out than other places is a fantastic touch! Thoroughly enjoyed the space as a base while we explored the Mount."

"I was well cared for at the House with No Nails! The property is beautiful & clean, & in a gorgeous rural setting set amidst mountains, big blue skies, & farm animals. The house is an easy 25 minute drive from the Hobbiton set in Matamata, which was my plan while in this area of NZ. Highly recommended!"

Pleasantly surprised.
"It may not look like much when you pull up, but it was extremely clean and comfortable, with a short walk to the beach and very quiet area. We only stayed 1 day, I wish we could have stayed more. A full grocery store is across the street. With the full kitchenette, we could have easily stocked up and stayed a week. Thank you for including a toaster and milk."
