Tourist Guide
Bukit Bintang
Designer brands, discount goods and international and traditional restaurants make this a popular Kuala Lumpur destination.

Kuala Lumpur is a shopping destination and Bukit Bintang is the city’s most lively shopping and entertainment district. The streets are lined with stores and malls and you can find everything here from designer brands to discount electronics as well as cafes and nightclubs.

Walk down Jalan Bukit Bintang, one of the busiest roads in Kuala Lumpur. Enormous billboards, boutiques, street shops and shopping malls line the road.

Browse the stores of renowned international Malaysian fashion designers such as Jimmy Choo, Farah Khan and the House of Toi by Zang Toi. For the latest fashions, electronics and the best faux designer goods, head to the Sungei Wang Plaza and Bukit Bintang Plaza. Shop for cheap electronics in Plaza Low Yat.

Berjaya Times Square is Kuala Lumpur’s largest shopping mall and one of the largest buildings in the world. With 48 floors and over 1,000 shops and restaurants, it may take you a couple of days to browse the entire building. When you need a break, rejuvenate with a foot massage or some reflexology. The Berjaya Times Square Theme Park is also located here.

All the pavilions and malls have an impressive selection of kopi tiam which is a traditional Malaysian coffee shop. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafès. For the best and cheapest hawker food stalls in the city visit Jalan Alor which is just behind Bukit Bintang.

Bag snatchers do operate in the area so keep valuables at home and wear a secure bag. Bukit Bintang is close to all the major hotels and is within easy walking distance from the city center. You can also use the free GoKL buses which stop at the major attractions in the city.
