"My wife and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in April, 2024. The room and beach were great. The facility itself is enormous, far more so than I had realized when I booked our stay. It's a Marriott, so expect meals to be priced double (or triple) what you might pay at nearby (and far less fancy) restaurants; indeed, meals were priced a good bit higher than what we had paid at similar or nicer hotels in Seam Reap, Bangkok and Hanoi. "I think I was lucky with my outward facing room, windows all around overlooking the jungle and hills and it was a big apartment too. It was quiet and I felt safe in all of Khoa Lak as a female on my own. All staff were friendly and I liked it was tucked away from the hussle but still walkable. Nice beaches near by.
