"Excellent laid back location. This is quite the little gem. Anthoney greeted us at arrival and then gave us a tour. Visitors do need to understand this is a 100 year old building that served sailors back in the day and the surrounding area is an established location with very friendly locals. Hotel was spotless with excellent hot water pressure. Don’t worry about the noise it was no big deal. Restaurant below has a happy hour with music. The only drawback was the morning front desk person who obviously didn’t want to be there. Presence was clearly obligatory. "

"A little staycation in Newport for a couple of days. We loved the location and all the friendly staff members at the Balboa Inn. Although it was a trip for just the two of us; my husband & I would love to come back with our son because everything is walkable. "

"I enjoyed the free bike riding for 2 hours. I didn't agree what they charge for parking. $40.00 for self pay and valet parking $47.00. I disagree with a $30.00 glass of wine."

"Had to come out for work, and this was no more than 10 minutes from my office. I’m so glad I picked this, because the staff was accommodating, the room was perfect, and the area is beautiful. 5 minute walk to the water maximum, and 2-3 minute walk max from different places to eat. Traffic isn’t bad at all, and the area never got loud. When I come back out for work, I will absolutely be choosing this amazing inn again!"
