"Well what can I say. Second visit to this fabulous hotel and again I can’t fault it. From the moment you walk in the grand front door, checking in and going to your room it is a delight. Lovely restored old property sympathetically completed without spoiling the grandness. Large bedrooms continue with the grandness. Vanity mirror with lights attached didnt work, and when reported (more to report that we didnt break it, rather than get it fixed) reception was uninterested. "The staffs were amazingly friendly. The room was clean and well supplied. We asked for extra pillows and towels with no issues. Within 10 minutes walk from the York train station.
