"The views were to die for. Phi Phi island is beautiful and Phi Phi The Beach Resort is the place to go. Very quiet in the room, and the room had everything that you could ask for. The A/C worked flawlessly and I got some very much need sleep. Will definitely return."

"We had a wonderful time at Layana. The transportation from Krabi airport was very much appreciated. It was very hot in Thailand while we were there and the pool was great, we spent hours around it and in it. We rented a scooter to drive around the island, Traffic was limited and we felt safe driving them around the island, Layana recommended the Turtle Beach resort for dinner and it was very good. Our room was very large"

"This hotel was amazing! I stayed with my husband, mother, and best friend. We booked 2 sea view villas, one for my husband and I and one for my mum and best friend. The villas themselves were outstanding - wonderful soft big beds and pillows, great bathroom with excellent water pressure, great air conditioning, mini fridge to store drinks in and nice patio seating right outside to enjoy the view of the oven. We got the breakfast included option and were treated to a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning which was a bonus. Short distance by taxi or tuk tuk to the walking street and other restaurants. My husband walked into town nearly everyday to visit some local food spots for lunch and enjoyed the walk. During our stay we booked 2 excursions through the hotel - an all day snorkeling excursion and an elephant sanctuary experience. Both were amazing!! Would recommend the elephant sanctuary to absolutely everyone. The beach was beautiful and the water was great. Barely anyone on the beach - very easy to find a chair or spread out a towel in the sun. It was jellyfish season, so there were a few washed up jellyfish on the sand but we were not afraid at all. My husband got lightly stung on his stomach but it went away within the day. If you are scared or have small children that would be scared maybe just be cautious. Night time there were a few sand flies - we all got bit quite a bit but we didn’t think to bring insect repellent so it was our fault. Still super nice!! "

"We checked in early and received an upgraded room on the beach. Private beach and view was phenomenal! All staff was very courteous and the rooms were comfortable and very nice!"

"A beautiful resort and staff so so helpful and always smiley! Rooms were so well kept and really clean. Aircon works very well! Pool area kept very clean and different areas to sit at to have a drink. Beach access for early morning or early evening walks. Food and drinks good, only comment would be cooked breakfast got cold quickly if you didn’t get there at breakfast opening time. Beautiful sea views and an amazing sunset from Reggae Bar! "

"I’ve traveled all over the world, and this was the best stay I’ve ever had. They don’t let you lift a finger, even if you want to! I’ve never been so pampered in my life. The free transfer from the airport is much nicer than advertised - we had a private car with AC, free water, and their own private speedboat to the island. We didn’t carry a bag from the moment they picked us up until the moment they dropped us back off at the airport. The resort amenities are top notch, and they even upgraded us to a villa with a private pool. I am still in disbelief at how beautiful it was and everything that was included in the space… because it’s on a hill, they have buggies that bring you anywhere you want within the resort. The food and free breakfast were superior, the spa services left us in a stupor, and the convenience was incomparable. They even have their own app for you to access their services at the touch of a button, and they’re immediately responsive for any request you make. I feel spoiled and sad leaving, but will definitely be back. Book this place! "

"Viking Nature Resort is a lovely spot on Ko Phi Phi, close enough to the village for excursions & partying bit far enough away to be peaceful & relaxing. Getting the boat to the hotel is fun and the porters carrying our bags in & our incl to the room are a credit to the hotel. Food is good- mix of Thai food and some more International dishes, same for breakfast. Bar service good- from cold Chang to fresh coconuts. The place has a luxurious feel to it- lots of things are considered for the customer but is not 5 stay luxury - it’s rustic and you are close to nature. We saw bats, giant millipedes, stray cats & dogs (all very friendly) plus an array of birds and of course fish in the sea. Sea is very shallow so safe for inexperienced swimmers and it’s a short walk / swim to adjacent Long Beach for more interest. Boats can be arranged to take you to tonsai village and back. Likewise early morning scooters if you have an early excursion and you can have an excellent Thai massage out by the sea. The hotel is let down on the cleanliness side- the beach beanbags are dropping pellets of foam on the sand and there is some rubbish - cigarette ends, straws etc that the customers leave clearly but the staff could clean up. Otherwise, great hotel - would recommend. "

"Great place to stay on a quick return journey to Koh Lanta. Had been to the hotel many times before, but never to stay as a guest. Room was a good size, well equipped and clean. Balcony was very nice and had a great view of the sunset. Wifi was strong, if that’s your thing. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Overall it’s a lovely hotel and has a great location. Well worth a visit "

"Was an enjoyable stay. Property is divided into a beachfront area with pools and restaurants and the actual lodging area on the other side of the road. There’s a pedestrian tunnel that goes under the road. Our lodgings were a decent walk from the beachfront. Would have been a little difficult for anyone with mobility issues. They provide a shuttle service but that can be unreliable at certain times of the day though. Overall would still recommend though. Family enjoyed the beach a lot. "
