"Although this property is within easy access to the beach and the river we found the bedrooms lacked storage space, the outdoor furniture was very difficult to manage as it is heavy, unstable and hard to move. Being able to spend as much time as possible outside is important for a family. We used the bar b que and found only 2 burners worked. One of the bedrooms had not been cleaned properly when we arrived and there was glass on the floor in the childrens room causing an injury luckily to an...

"Beautiful home with a stunning view. Pity there isn’t access to the water, however does not hinder the home or it’s beautiful sanctuary at all! We enjoyed being able to cook and be together at the same time, we enjoyed being close to the town yet not in the town and we absolutely loved being close to the water. "It was my first visit to Waikawau area where there are two adjacent beautiful bays, Waikawau Bay and Little Bay. The holiday home, Kaka Cottage we stayed at was truly a nice place to enjoy comfort and tranquility as it is situated in the top forest and the host couple is very kind and friendly. They are peace loving people. We really enjoyed staying at the house. I recommend to all."

"I'd say it's a nice place, but they should clearly state that even if you book a room there won't be any blankets or towels. This is extra. I've never heard ablut that. We needed to pay for that extra.. Also the service lady said she'd soo kind to come back to give it to us, which was odd in that situation. Besides that, still a nice place to stay, but in winter it's not the warmest in the rooms."
