Aberfeldy is a conservation town of in the heart of Highland Perthshire boasting of all the local amenities, offering plenty to do. It has a community cinema, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, delis, independent shops, and an award-winning book shop. There is also a vibrant live music scene in the area, as well as the Highland Games, Aberfeldy Festival and the annual Caledonian Etape cycle event. Great for walkers and cyclists there are many established public footpaths and cycle ways that lead directly from the front door into the heart of rural Perthshire.
The river Tay runs through Aberfeldy providing the perfect landscape for a gentle stroll along the riverbank, white water rafting or fishing, with permits available locally. The Birks of Aberfeldy provide a scenic walk through a gorge and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with many varieties of flora and fauna to admire.
