"Great location down the road from Hearst Castle and Friends of the Elephant Seal viewpoint. About 2 hours north of Solvang. Hotel is a little on the older side but it has quaint and comfortable characteristics. Staff was extremely helpful and kind throughout our stay. Parking is near the rooms so not too far to carry luggage. Steps away from the beach lookouts. Limited options on food/restaurants. Room fridge was a little noisy and the bed/pillows could be updated. Overall, great stay for those looking for something simple. Free continental breakfast a huge plus! "

"Everything was amazing, but the bed and breakfast experience wasn’t what it used to be. The food felt like it was all processed, with nothing fresh or exciting. It was almost depressing, serving as a reminder that you’re in a hotel rather than enjoying a charming getaway, even though the facilities themselves create that getaway feel."

"Very clean inside and out. Comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely appointed. Very low key about our two dogs. Nice grass area for them. Right by the shoreline with a very quick walk to the water and a pretty walk for dogs."
