"Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays is a great destination. Sea Star apartments have fantastic views. But the property itself is pretty basic and the interiors are quite dated. While it is listed (e.g. on Google Maps) as a 4 star hotel, it is in fact a set of apartments with few of the amenities that one would expect in a hotel. If you have a car and are used to self catering, it’s fine. But without a car, you have to rely on taxis from the center of town. Walking down the steep hill is no problem,...

"Clean, comfy, quiet and well appointed. This property has a great deck to watch boats, or the sunrise. Excellent shopping/eateries within a short walking distance. Perfect proximity to boat tours. Easy check in process, Michelle went out of the way to accommodate our requests. Thank you! "

"The apartments are very spacious and fitted out to a high standard. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you don’t have a car then it’s a little far to walk into airlie beach centre especially if there is a chance of rain. My only gripe is that the included breakfast does not include coffee!!! I struggled to get over this, it annoyed me each and every morning."

"Everything was good except that you would have to walk up a steep hill and a steep driveway with all your bags and luggages. The bed was great for good night sleeps, location is about 10min walk into town. View is beautiful. You'll you have to get your groceries from downtown and walk it back or take the bus back. "

"No air conditioning in the bedrooms only the living area. Toilet floor needs a really good scrub as smells like a men’s urinal. We had a 6 night stay and only had 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 dishwasher & 2 dish liquid sachets. No spray to clean the bench down. Apartment was very spacious, comfortable lounge chairs and very comfortable beds. Loved the local Curlews hanging around outside. "
