"When arrived it seemed that they were overbooked. Our studio was given to someone else. The replacement studio they gave us was terrible. A studio with 3 beds present. No table, no chairs, no curtains in street level bedroom, no towels, no hot water, reserved parking lot not available. No refund suggested or a gesture for the inconvenience. Bad hospitality."

"Bare bones, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was bottled water in the room and a hot shower (which in Costa Rica is not always a given). I was pleased, too, that they did come pick me up at the airport even though my plane arrived after stated shuttle hours. "

"I like this place because it was so close to the airport and not real expensive. We only stayed one night so we could catch our plane early in the morning. At first I wasn’t sure how safe the area was when we first pulled up but once we stayed for a little while and watched the people walking around the streets we realized it was very safe. "Beautiful tiny house and lovely property with outdoor kitchen, hot tub. Gated home, they provided code to enter driveway + code to access key to get inside property. Nice decorative touches inside for a cozy experience. Location is lovely but is quite remote, at the top of a hill in the mountains. Was able to find on Google Maps. Be mindful of driving the roads to Villzaul- single winding road must be shared by incoming and outgoing traffic."

"We have stayed at Steve’s and Nancy’s for two weeks and experienced their hospitality, friendliness and such a warmth. Loved the place : super comfortable, very private yet close enough to know the host is there when you need them. Steve and his helper rescued us from a very daring car trouble for which we were so grateful. We enjoyed the tranquility and spectacular views, jacuzzi on the huge terrace was awesome. We will go back next year."

"Checkin was easy and friendly. Our room had a wet towel on the floor, and one of the cups opened, as though someone had started there but then asked for another room. The desk clerk offered us another room, but we said we just wanted to turn in the wet towel, and get another glass. She fixed that, and gave us a couple of complimentary bottles of water. The laundry was easy to use, and no problem getting the needed number of quarters from the desk. The shuttle was there and ready at 3:15 AM, and we got to the airport quickly. We missed out on the take-away snack, but I think it wasn't so great anyway. (I heard from someone else checking in that breakfast was great, so sorry to have missed that) "
