"Great property "

"This property was clean, basic and all you need for a cheap stay over whilst visiting the island. The rooms are dated, and reminded me of early Mr Dirk Diggler movie sets. Though once you're inside, you have all the basic amenities including a fridge, table and chair to work from, reclining leather chairs. It was comfortable, the bed was very comfortable. The location was surprisingly quiet except the noise of nature/wildlife. It was a very pleasant stay and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Though you need to check in before 6:30pm as I believe staff leave, though they leave instructions on how to get your key after hours. The only downside was the TV didn't work during my stay, no biggie as free wifi and laptop solved that problem. I learned on checkout that I could have called reception (they do operate after 6:30pm) to have it reset. There's no breakfast here either, so finding somewhere that was open for breakfast was challenging as the island is geared towards tourism. Again, the helpful reception signposted me some possibilities where to go. So if you're travelling and on a budget, you can't go wrong with this little gem. "We have booked the accomodation for our 5 days stays for KI adventure with our extended family .With out a doubt the accomodation was best and accomodated our needs.The host was very accessable for any information.Strongly recomend Gum Valley stays for larger family or smalley ones.Regards "

"This park is really nice. We stayed in a small cabin and we really enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. We strolled around the property and enjoyed seeing kangaroos and koalas as well as numerous types of birds. The staff at the desk are really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. "

"The house is located across the road from a beach. Beach ones for 5K there is also a path across the road which is part of the park run and is easy access to ocean pool. The main town is a 40 minute drive. But the local town is a 45 minute walk or three minute drive. The local town does not cater for shopping groceries or anything like that. We struggled to find even a restaurant that was opened but does have a delightful cafe but obviously only opened for lunch and breakfast so it’s advisable to purchase shopping at the IGA in the main town when you get off the ferry And complete all cooking in the house. House is perfectly set up for multiple people. One bedroom has queen bed another bedroom has a queen bed 3rd bedroom has two sets of bunks and a cot. There is also a rollaway bed included at the house. Multiple sets of cutlery and plates bowls etc. There were a few other things that were missing such as a CanOpener and soup ladle or something that could be used to scoop. The view from the front balcony is absolutely beautiful and is a lovely way to spend the morning having breakfast or the evening eating eating dinner. Their area is extremely quiet and very safe. The house hasn’t open plan design with lounge dining kitchen or facing the view. House also has a full laundry with washing machine dryer plus there is a clothesline out the back we enjoyed our stay here."
