"Overall, very good. The rooms are a bit dated and some obvious wear is evident. My chair had the back ripped, wear and scrpae marks on the wall and furniture wand carpet worn. Painted side of bathtub peeling badly and some rust on metal door frame of bathroom. But the bed was comfortable, Heat worked well and the area is QUIET. Only 3 minute drive to the ferry that takes you to downtown. One big minus, no restaurants around anywhere."

"Nice hotel overall, I give it 4 stars because of the noise in the surrounding area. It’s in an alley where’s there’s a lot of industry and also a train that passes by in the mornings. If you’re an early bird (6-7 am) then you will be fine, if not then you’ll be pretty annoyed. Staff was great though, front desk ladies were extremely helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. "

"This hotel is in a great location and had gated in and out self parking($45/day). They don't have a liquor license, yet, so we didn't get to enjoy the bar and it was a bit chilly to use the pool. Our room was spacious, great shower, and the bed was comfy. We will definitely come back."

"Perry at the front desk was terrific and made us feel very welcome and appreciated at check in. The Royal hotel has great personality and we love the inner courtyard. I did have to work on an end table because there are no desks, so I could have stood a little more facility, but we did get one of the smaller rooms! the staff was friendly, there was free coffee, and it was conveniently located to everything we needed!"
