Watch one of the U.K.ā€™s most beloved sports teams play at this 19th-century arena, which features 45,000 seats.

On game day, Anfield Road Stadium is one of the most impressive sports spectacles in the world. Fans stream in from nearby pubs, pack the stands to full capacity and sing, chant and cheer until the game is done. As one of Englandā€™s finest soccer clubs, the Liverpool team has a dedicated following throughout the country. Reserve your tickets far in advance and soak up the atmosphere come game day. The British love their soccer, and the Anfield Road Stadium is one of the best places in the country to see their passion on display.

Home to the Liverpool Football Club since its 1892 founding, the Anfield Road Stadium is considered by many locals to be Liverpoolā€™s most important building. Drop by outside of game day to get a good glimpse of the structure, which underwent many renovations throughout the 1900s. Browse through classic memorabilia as well as photographs and videos of old matches at the on-site museum. Just outside the museum, Liverpool caps and flags are available, so you can stock up for game day.

As you round the stadium, notice tributes to two past managers of the Liverpool Football Club. The Paisley Gateway honours the famous manager and former player Bob Paisley, while a statue commemorates Bill Shankly, who is known as one of the greatest soccer managers in the history of England.

If you come for a game, you may want to bring earplugs, since the cheers of 45,000 other fans may surround you. Typically, the loudest part of the stadium is the infamous Spion Kop, where the most dedicated fans generally sit.

Located to the northeast of the city centre, Anfield Road Stadium can be reached by metro. Parking is rare on game day, so arrive early if you are driving. Book game tickets online. The stadium is open daily.
