"First and foremost, excellent Location! Of course that's why you pay extra to come to the Riu. It is within walking distance to many Muni transporatation option, and offer easy walking access to the Fisherman Wharf and the Alcatraz ferry tour. The parking fees for it are pretty expensive, and we kind of regretted parking there instead of the multiple cheaper options around the area. It is also not very luggage friendly, as they insisted on including stairs no matter which way out of the parking lot you picked."

"Overall a clean hotel. Chairs were a little worn but ok. Breakfast is included ( good for travelers with kids) and has good options. The staff was friendly and accommodating to special requests. Driving distance to major attractions in San Francisco was reasonable."

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The area feels safe, especially compared to other parts of San Francisco. However, it can get quite noisy at night—particularly if you’re staying in a city-view room. These rooms are more expensive and face the back of the hotel, overlooking the Hyatt. If you’re a light sleeper, be warned: the 4 a.m. garbage collections are loud enough to wake you up daily. Bring earplugs or choose a room away from the street if you value your sleep"

"Booked this hotel last min for my birthday. They gave us complimentary drink vouchers for my bday. Check in was smooth. The room we booked only had partial view to the bay. They accommodated us to a room with a beautiful view of the bay bridge. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. "
