Beach Town Country Stay - 10 minute drive to the beach!

Hidden in the valley and vines, this cute and spacious 1 bedroom/1 bath unit is privately located on our property is perfectly placed amongst the rolling hills and oak trees in Santa Cruz County. With an open concept living room and kitchen, this newly updated space has a walk-in shower, laundry room, and up-to-date appliances. The lovely unit is set in the quiet countryside but is conveniently located just a 10 minute drive from the gorgeous Seacliff State Beach, 5 minute drive from the beautiful Corralitos Wine Trail, 15 minutes from the redwoods at Nisene Marks, 50 minutes from Monterey (the home of the Monterey Bay Aquarium), and 1 hour and 30 minutes from San Francisco. If you are looking to rest your head after a long day of exploring Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas, this relaxing and tranquil homestead is your home away from home.

Children are welcome. Please message if you need a highchair or a pack’n play. Age appropriate toys can be provided upon request.

For your traveling and adventure convenience, we offer a parking pass for surrounding state beaches, state parks, and hiking trails ($150 will be charge if not returned) We also offer two complimentary passes to a nearby attraction and fresh organic eggs from the homestead hens (upon request and when available).

Plenty of room!
Plenty of room and supplies for two or more people. The best perk was the filtered water that was provided! We were able to refill water containers with cooled water. Would stay here again if ever in the area in the future.

Great spot
Very close to Santa Cruz, Monterey and nice drives along the coast. Also recommend Henry Cowell state park. Host provided state park passes and aquarium passes, which is a really nice bonus! It was nice getting back to a nice quiet spot after spending the day out and about. Felt homey. Spacious enough for a family of 5. Definitely would recommend to others.

Pleasant Stay
We really enjoyed our time at this unit. The unit sits adjacent to a home but you feel as though you have your own space and privacy. Jesse was really nice, and even left some toys out for our 2-year old that kept her busy. We didn't get to use all of the appliances, but everything is brand new. As the home chef, they have an ample kitchen and all the utensils one could need to cook. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the unit itself as it is completely remodeled and new. The unit is also spotlessly clean which I really appreciate. Perhaps the cleanest rental we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Thanks again Jesse & Steve we appreciate you being so welcoming.

Sweet Property in Santa Cruz
My husband an I enjoyed our two night stay in this one bedroom unit attached to a family home. It was private and we took advantage of our deck in the evenings. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved feeding the chickens and eating their fresh eggs. We also appreciated the water filter system. We took advantage of their California pass for the Henry Cowell Park-beautiful hikes through the redwoods. It’s a lovely 15 minute drive into town. The hosts had some work that needed to be done on the property and were more than generous in giving us a discount-a class act. A nice alternative to a downtown stay.

Dreamy Aptos locale
This sweet, quiet home was perfect for our family of two. We used it for a much-needed spring break and it was a dreamy jumping off place for everything, from hiking in Big Basin to visiting the Santa Cruz boardwalk. We drove down to Monterey for a day at the aquarium, too (thank you for the passes!). The chickens were very dear (and amusing) and the eggs were wonderful. The house is not large, but feels wonderfully spacious, thanks to lots of windows and high ceilings. Thank you for our little three-night respite. We'd love to visit again. <3

This large, immaculate guesthouse was just as advertised: king sized bed in bedroom, couch with pull-out bed, nice appliances with everything you need for cooking, and a lovely outdoor patio. The fresh farm eggs and State Parks pass were lovely and appreciated added bonuses. The host, Jessica, was very friendly and responsive. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a spacious, quiet retreat in the mountains that isn't too far away from the action.

Quiet Getaway
We went to visit UC Santa Cruz for our daughter's college selection and chose to stay here because of the highly rated community. It was a perfect choice. Beautiful community quietly tucked away. Property is so cute and comfortable. I think owner is on site but gave us our privacy. They were accomodating and the state parking was a plus. Highly recommended.

The place was amazing and so pretty. We loved ever bit of the property. The location is great. Easy to get to all the attractions near by and even have some hidden gems with in five minutes of the place. We will keep this place in mind the next time we travel to the Santa Cruz area.

Wonderful place to get away.
Property was just as described. Very clean, had all required items to enjoy 4 nights comfortably, Location is perfect, close to everything you would like to visit, very quiet in a country atmosphere. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Steve & Jessica were very helpful and provided information on activities. You get to use a pass to for entry into the local State Parks and State Beaches. Terrific hosts who also can provide passes to a popular attraction. Would gladly stay again at this great property.

Family beach getaway
Our stay was fantastic, from the fresh eggs, to the quiet peaceful evenings. It was perfectly positioned for days at the numerous beaches, shops and entertainment in Santa Cruz, and a day trip down to Monterrey. There were redwood forests to hike, and ride pools to explore. All with peace and quiet in the evenings to recharge for the next day. We would absolutely go back! Our hosts were gracious and accommodating and communicated in a clear and timely way everything we needed to know. Thanks again for letting us stay with you!

Great stay in Aptos -- near the beaches but away from the crowds
It was very clean and as advertised. Contactless checkin and checkout worked well. No problems. They have a septic tank so it's very important to not flush anything or put anything down the kitchen sink. But we followed instructions and had no problems. It was lovely.

Best little getaway!
Jess and Steve were great, and this little gem of a place was an amazing spot to lie our heads. Upon arrival, we were welcomed to the property by Maggie (the sweetest dog!) and her kisses. The home was beautiful, clean, spacious, and had everything we could think of, plus more. We took advantage of the state park/beach pass and headed to Seacliff for a day. The eggs that were left for us from Jess and Steve’s hens were ahhhhhmazing—made for a great first-morning breakfast! The posting was very clear about what amenities were offered onsite, and there was even Tupperware provided for food storage. We also took advantage of the washer/dryer after having been on the go. The home is located above the garage and the owners live onsite, but we heard only nature noises during our stay. Very thankful for such a perfect experience, and we’re all looking forward to staying again. Thank you, Jess & Steve!

The accommodations are fabulous in a fabulous location. The location is in a peaceful setting yet close to all the fun of the Santa Cruz area. All the amenities were fabulous from the bedding to the kitchen to the bathroom/shower.. Very clean, modern and well designed. The hosts are/were fabulous! They checked in with us in advance to make sure we had everything we need before we arrive. This was an unexpected, lovely service. E.g. Jessica/the host made up the extra sofa bed for us and even moved the other couch to make sure we had seating to watch TV when extra bed was made (extra bed was VERY comfortable too!!!). They even had fresh chicken eggs and a little bottle of wine waiting for us when we checked in. The eggs were delicious!! I seriously cannot express how pleased we were with both the accommodations AND the hosts!!!!! We definitely want a repeat and were sad to leave :-).
