A 240,000-square-metre resort owned by SeaWorld, with pristine golden sands, climate-controlled water and artificial waves at speeds to suit, Aquatica is packed with fun attractions for all ages.
Whether you fancy a leisurely voyage on the water or you’re looking for more thrills and spills, there is plenty on offer. One of Aquatica’s best loved attractions is the Dolphin Plunge which takes you down a tube and underwater into a lagoon where you’ll get to see the Commerson dolphins. These playful black and white creatures are fast in the water so keep your eyes open – blink and you’ll miss them!
Take a ride on the Omaka Rocka where you’ll be locked in an inflatable tube and sent on a dizzying voyage down half-pipes and funnels, or you can head out for a white water adventure on Roa’s Rapids. You can even go head first down a steep slide map on the Taumata Racer and take on other thrill-seekers in the process.
For a rather more sedate experience, head for Loggerhead Lane where you can float on the water and look around at the rich mix of wildlife. Drift through an aquarium where you’ll be surrounded by beautiful exotic fish swimming around.
The resort has plenty of areas suitable for younger visitor. Head for Walkabout Waters, an 18-metre-tall fortress where you’ll find spray guns and hoses as well as buckets regularly spilling water from above your head. Or you can take the family for a raft ride through the six-storey Walhalla Wave with all its twists and turns.
When you’ve finished exploring the rides and enjoying the water, head for one of Aquatica’s restaurants. At Banana Beach, you can choose from a delicious buffet, or you can pre-order a Family Picnic which is available in key seasons. If you plan ahead before your visit, you can book your own private cabana for up to eight guests or simply reserve a space with a sun lounger and umbrella to make the most of the Orlando sunshine.
