"Love embracing the culture away from the tourist traps. You don't really need a car. You can hire a taxi to get there and take the bus the rest of the time. Buses are reasonable only 3.30 euro from the town into the tourist cities. No need to look for parking in Rhodes or Lindos with the bus system. Bus station is maybe a 5- 8 minute walk. "Rania, the receptionist, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She thoroughly explained everything and gave excellent local recommendations. And most importantly she helped with my lost handbag; I left my handbag behind during the checkout process. The bag has passports and other important stuff. I came back to look for it and she had it ready on the front desk…phew… She’s a life saver!!"

"The rooms were incredibly spacious – it felt like we had our own one-bedroom apartment, complete with a living room and kitchen. During our stay, it was windy for a few days due to winds coming from the north. However there was no wind on the other side of the island which was 20 mins drive so went there. (faliraki beach). "

"The hotel was modern, clean and tidy. The room was small but suitable for a 1 night stay. Staff on reception during check-in were not very friendly and charged me for the room, even though I had paid by using my saved vouchers. This was rectified later in the day by the manager. "Such a lovely, family run hotel. So much more personal and quiet compared to the bigger, 4 & 5 star hotels. We were really glad we picked the Caravel. Huge room (apartment), great food and pool and just over the road from the sea. The owners were incredibly friendly, sorted out some last minute euros for us and booked probably the best taxi service we’ve ever had! All the good reviews were spot on. "

"This was an excellent stay prior to getting the ferry. A short walk to blue star terminal. The owners are so nice and very helpful the room was very clean , spacious , tidy and had cooking facilities. Super market just round the corner and a “locals” souvlaki place just opposite the supermarket. Would recommend this place to anyone for value for money and comfort. Again the owners where so nice"

"Beautiful set up with the other 2 hotels in the same group nearby. Loads of pools and bars within resort and 5 mins walk to Pefkos main strip with loads of bars and restaurants. Gardens really well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds."

"A relaxing stay, room was clean and comfortable. It can be noisy but overall pretty quiet (we went there off-season). Restaurants are good if you don't want to bother going out of the resort. Mitsis Rodos Village Beach Hotel and Spa

"Very good hotel, we had an excellent stay, food was amazing, the buffet is a standard hotel buffet type food but they do change it up each night but the a la carte restuarnts for us were amazing, we had great service and great food. Portion sizes at the greek and italian were huge so we way over ordered, possibly could of done with a little more at the asian and mexican but the dishes we all had were superb. Only grumble on the food is that there isnt much for kids, they didnt do smaller portions of the main meals so seemed like a lot of waste to order a main for a child. However we did sometimes get them a starter instead of a main then went into the buffet restyarnt afterwards if they were wanted somthing else. They were never hungry! The information and opening times of everything could be better, the creperie/ice cream place is advertised on the app to be open from 8.30 but doesnt open til 10, but there are no opening times at each bar/restaurant so unless you look on the app you dont know. And it would be good to have a bar near the splash park with drinks and ice creams but other than that we had an amazing time and will go back. "
