"Laikyns Lodge is an amazing home on a beautiful sprawling property. It is a beautiful, huge log home with quality everywhere. Amazing indoor and outdoor spaces. The warm indoor pool kept 5 kids (and their parents) busy. The walk from the pool to the outdoor hot tub was cold but well worth it. On clear nights, the fire pit is a great gathering spot. When it rained, we all moved to the outdoor wood burning fireplace on the massive covered deck. All in, Laikyns was first rate. We will definitely...

"We have been to Hocking a few times already but this was the first trip where we brought our teens. The house was very spacious and clean. Having a full kitchen and gas grill to cook was awesome. Nice touches like full soaps and plenty of paper towels and cleaning tools helped us maintain the house during our stay. Washer and dryer are super helpful. Location was far enough away from the tourist areas and very quiet. It was too hot to enjoy the hot tub but it was clean and clear. Deer and turkey...

"Mostly very satisfied. Clean house, nice location near Nelsonville, quick response from owner. Only objections are a couple things that were not clear from the description: The home is near a fairly major road, so road noise at night was a minor issue. Also, the fire pit is on the side of a hill, so somewhat difficult to use."

"Even though we did not meet the owners in person but David was quick in responding to our emails with good communications. The house was exactly as pictured, had everything we needed, and right in between Hocking Hills Park and Ohio University in Athens. When David knew of ETA he went to the house turner on the lights and cranked the AC because it was a hot day. Everything was to our satisfaction. We definitely recommend Cheerful 👍"

"It was a perfect weekend to celebrate a birthday. The snow really topped the weekend off. We went to Hocking Hills to hike, stopped and got coffee at the local shop and enjoyed the hot tub."

"This please was great. My only advice would be to bring beach towels for the hot tub. The closest hiking was Rockhouse and it was nice. We took the kids with us (ages 3,6,and9)."

"This was a nice place to stay for a few days, only 15 minutes from Athens, Ohio and 30 minutes to various places in Hocking Hills. It was clean, well furnished and we enjoyed the hot tub."

"The property inside and out was amazing and beautiful. Very clean inside open and beautifully decorated. No outages no issues everything worked. The pond was nice has bluegill and a few bass. We will definitely be staying here again when we come down. When they say full equipped kitchen I'm used to that meaning a fridge, stove and a coffee pot so we packed for what we thought we needed. You don't need plates cups pans pots utensils they provide it all which was awesome!"
