"We enjoyed our stay in the area. Lots of beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. the house was great for two couples. You should be aware that a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The coast is 10km down hairpin bends, hence the view! Avola and the surrounding area is lovely, much to see and many beautiful towns and villages. The need to get in the car everytime is a disadvantage, especially in the evenings."

"Villa is echt prachtig. Op sommige punten mag er iets aan onderhoud worden gedaan, maar al met al een prachtig huis. De locatie in de bergen is heel mooi. Nadeel is dat je iedere keer die berg af moet rijden met haakse bochten om ergens heen te gaan. Minpuntje is dat er geen zwembad is. "Unfortunately our trip didn't go as planned as our son was ill but Isabella and Corrado were so kind and did everything possible to help. They are lovely people and wonderful hosts. The villa itself is lovely, especially the outside area, and the surroundings are stunning. You definitely need a car but the isolation means peace and quiet and great views. Unfortunately we didn't get to explore the area so hopefully we can return one day."

"Gaetano is very friendly and helpful host. Responds very quickly to questions and is very flexible. Upon arrival in the evening he left a wide range of food on the kitchen table which was very welcome after a long day traveling. This charming and inviting stay was a wonderful complement to our visit to southeastern Sicily!

" We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Falaride! Our hosts, Angela and her husband were lovey and happily accommodating to our needs before and during our stay (Angela and her husband both speak very good English). When we arrived at the property, they were there to greet us with a warm and spirited introduction and tour of their beautiful home and property, perched on the sea. They also took time to orient us to the places we wanted to visit and local restaurants to enjoy. The home and property were immaculate and comfortable. Being lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean was dreamy, and because we wanted to enjoy cooking, we found the kitchen well equipped, although several of the teflon pans were badly scratched and therefore unable to use. There is a hot tub, but if you intend to use it, let them know in advance because it takes a while for it to heat up and we missed an opportunity to use it. The property was perfectly located within close driving distance to Siracusa, Ortigia, Noto, Ragusa and Modica. I highly recommend this beautiful property if you are intending to visit southeastern Sicily! "

"Struttura davvero molto bella e ben curata, situata in posizione ideale per raggiungere il centro di Avola in pochi passi. Camera confortevole, ampia, luminosa, spaziosa, arredata con gusto, dotata di ogni comfort. Bagno con doccia. Pulizia impeccabile. Biancheria da camera di alta qualità. Al piano terra della struttura c’è una cucina ad uso comune. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo nell’indicarci le istruzioni per il check-in e dove parcheggiare il veicolo. Una critica costruttiva: il materasso ci è sembrato troppo morbido, quindi un po’ scomodo a nostro parere. Ma per il resto tutto era perfetto! Consigliatissimo!!!! "

"We had two ‘Comfort Rooms’ and our whole stay was EXCELLENT from the moment we arrived. We were formally welcomed by the owner add seen to our rooms which were really lovely, spacious, modern and very well presented with a lovely bottle of wine. The facilities around the complex were very clean, secure, privates and the pool area was good size and fabulous! Breakfast was very varied from choices of cereal, cheeses, eggs, bacon to whole range of yummy cakes! All the staff were GREAT! very polite, happy to help and always smiling! The beautiful sandy beaches of Avola are 10mins drive away. The whole stay was FABULOUS and can’t rate the place high enough, other to say I travelled the whole of Sicily and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed as a family -Go experience it and enjoy your time in Avila, Noto, Siracusa and all the other surrounding towns. "

"Great renovated hotel in a small sleepy town of Avola with an easy access to free beaches, free street parking. Nice helpful hostess and her staff. Luxury rooms, good continental breakfast, quiet area for a very small price! I strongly recommend it. In case you drive a car and want to visit sights in neighboring Syracuse, do not fall for expensive options in Syracuse, stay in this hotel and simply drive very short distance to Syracuse and use historical area available parking and walk to all major sights. "

"Stayed for 3 nites Air Conditioner was broke and not working the first night but they brought us a fan which helped and they fixed it the next morning. Breakfast was great the first morning and went downhill from there- $8.00 per person. Probably not worth it but the coffee was good. No cafe near by. Shower great. Staff helpful. Old building in not a very pretty area but safe enough. Elevator helpful for luggage. Great restaurants on the beach. "
