"Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. "

"We stayed at the Pilsley Inn in order to visit Chatsworth House. The inn is walking distance from the farm shop and from the house itself. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the staff took great care of us."

"We arrived earlier than our check in time, but this wasn't a problem, we had immediate access to our room. The room was on the small side, but as we didn't have full size suitcases it didn't matter. The 5* award is for being able to sit outside on a sunny evening, with a pint just looking at the stunning view, priceless. Dinner was good but a bit 'chips with everything'. "The Red Lion is ideally situated in Bakewell,although there is no parking at the accommodation,there is plenty nearby. The only negative comment id make about the accommodation is the double bed is very small,other than that the rooms are very clean etc The town is very quiet,and there's not a lot happening on an evening "

"Freshly updated boutique hotel, a great place to relax. Quiet & great size room and bathroom, with comfortable king size bed. Good location in the small town of Bakewell. Parking was across the street, and reception organised a parking pass at a discounted rate when we checked in. Shops, pubs and restaurants all walking distance. Enjoyed our 2 night stay and would stay again."
