High Green Hall is a converted church perched on the hillside in the picturesque fishing village of Gardenstown in Aberdeenshire.
This unique property has been fully renovated to offer a quirky, yet modern and comfortable holiday let. Its spacious design makes it the perfect property for staying, socialising and also quietly enjoying its natural surroundings.
High ceilings contribute to the light and spacious feel of the property, complemented by the modern extension with triple aspect and round picture windows, which allow views across the beautiful sweeping coast, perfect for watching passing dolphins and sunsets.
The large living room encompasses ample space to relax, with multiple sofas and TV. Sit by the wood burning stove and unwind in the winter months. The adjoining dining area seats 8 persons.
A large kitchen provides all modern facilities including oven, hob, microwave and American style fridge freezer. The utility room provides a washing machine for guest use.
This is a 4 bedroom property, offering 3 double bedrooms (one with en-suite) and a twin room with two single beds.
A large family bathroom with bidet, jacuzzi bath and separate walk-in shower.
Babies and young children are very welcome at High Green Hall. We provide a travel cot, highchair, children’s cutlery and plates, and a selection of books and toys. We also have beach items including towels, picnic blanket, crabbing buckets, nets and beach toys.
We have a large decking area that is perfect for guests to enjoy watching the sunset or cup of tea and a book while listening to the birds. A good size patio area with seating allows a more sheltered area to dine and enjoy the fresh sea air. Please note, children should be supervised in the garden area, as there are steps and some of the wild garden, if traversed, has steep sections.
We also welcome well behaved dogs (max of 2 dogs). Please advise at time of booking if you are bringing your four-legged friends. A surcharge applies towards additional cleaning costs. We provide dog bowls at the property. We kindly ask our guests to be responsible dog owners, respecting our property and the properties and area nearby.
The church retains its original characteristic, the walls are not perfectly straight and the house has what one would call a bit of character. We love its quirkiness and hope you do too!
