"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"Absolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Running this place is not easy but the family are doing their absolute best as custodians. They are fully dedicated and committed to making Chateau de Candes a success. Merci Bertrand et Sam. "The house was a really special place to stay with beautiful rooms and fantastic facilities. Despite the cool, damp weather outside, the house was lovely and warm with easily controllable radiators - a really pleasant surprise in such an old building. "The cottage itself is well equipped with quality furnishings and equipment. Put together thoughtfully and stylishly by the charming owners. Unfortunately there is no green outdoor space as it's built on the gravel driveway entrance to the owners house, close to the local urban road and a main road. "I absolutely loved this hotel . From the moment we checked in with the friendliest of welcomes the staff were fantastic. We parked opposite the hotel . The room was gorgeous with a view overlooking the loire. It was a superior double and was simply fantastic for the price we paid. A short stroll along the river front takes you to bars and retaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again. . The bar prices were very reasonable too. We will definately come here again"

Just threw a duvet over the sofa. Beds are extremely comfortable and all the items you need in a flat are provided. Staff go above and beyond to help you have a comfortable stay. Especially Michael who was extremely helpful. I would certainly stay again. "
