"The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"

"The location of the hotel is within walking distance of the Blankenberge Train Station. We stayed two night/three days before catching the tram to Zeebrugge for a cruise (easy to do). The front staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and we slept well after the traffic died down. The only negative was that our room was next to a major street so it was noisy. "Loved this hotel. A fantastic location. However the WiFi in the room was terrible. We had to sit next to our door in order to get good WiFi access. If we sat on the bed or at the table near the window, we basically had no WiFi. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. "

"The hotel is well located in the city centre but not frontline beach. Quite a basic hotel with no frills or air conditioning in the room. The mattress on the bed was probably the softest I've ever slept on and really not my style. No 24 hour reception, in fact it closes at 6pm which is not great. On the night we stayed this price was way to high for the quality. "

"Nice hotel on the sea front with car park and a short walk from the center . Clean and tidy , we had a big spacious room , coffee machine , fridge , safe . Only downside it did not hair air-conditioning though it is an old hotel. "

"This property is a real treasure in that it’s managed by the owners who greet you upon arrival and provide you with a wonderful breakfast. Rooms are small, and there is a lack of storage, but the charm of this place and location made up for that small shortcoming.
