"Chelsea Park Motor lodge is a great base for exploring Nelson and surrounding area. Approximate 10 minute walk from main shopping street and some of the town's parks. The room was spacious and comfortable with a small kitchen area including fridge. The hosts were friendly and helpful offering advise on places to visit/ eat. Also, they went above and beyond when I accidentally stood at the wrong location for the morning bus shuttle to Abel Tasman park and missed the pick up. I had stayed 2 nights but wish I had allowed a longer stay in my itinerary."

"The staff at Saxton Lodge were amazing. I arrived late & after the dinner service had finished but the team still managed to arrange a beautiful meal to be bought to my room. That sort of service will see me coming back. "

"We are in Nelson every year for an AGM and try to stay at Hotel Nelson when it’s available. Every time we have been very happy with the service and value we have received. We were upgraded this time and our 2 bedroom apartment was huge. Very comfortable and close to town. Would definitely recommend "

The owners Max and Robyn are on site and were both super friendly, with lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the Nelson city center. Would definitely stay here again. "
