"We picked this house for a family reunion and to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. We couldn't have chosen anything better. The house itself is lovely with 5 good bedrooms, a spacious dining room and plenty of outside seating on the terrace. The best feature though is the garden, secure for kids and the family dog and absolutely massive. As per description the kitchen is small, but in combination with the conservatory it worked fine. Hopefully we can return at some point in the future."

"The stay was quite pleasant except for one evening. We had told the owners we were staying with family for a night but plans changed. When we got home we had no heat for the evening but it was too late to contact them. It would have been nice to have some control over the heat since one of the parties was older and handicapped. Other than that, the place was very clean - perfect for 2 people. "

We used it as a base to travel the area, going as far away as Baden Baden, Switzerland and closer to Strasbourg and Colmar. "We throughly enjoyed our three nights in Anke's cottage. It provided a great base to explore Strasbourg and the Alsace region. The cottage itself is cozy and enchanting, located on the grounds of a larger chatelet. Anke and her husband Eric were welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend!"
