This old stone cottage built between 1830 -1850 is tucked away at the archway entrance to the Cloverhill Estate. This cottage is surrounded by gardens and woodland. The magic of this cottage is undeniable . Originally built for the Gate Keeper this cottage reflects heritage with rustic simplicity.
Though some features and fittings have been replaced, the survival of historic features, including the label mouldings and timber bargeboards add to its character and charm.

Daffodil has two windows which look out on Cloverhill. This room feature one king size bed.

This room feature one double bed.
Tulip is the bedroom downstairs it can accommodate two guests in a super- king size bed or two single beds. With two windows encompassing scenic views. This room has it's own toilet .
All bedrooms have wooden floors and the upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings.
The sitting room, with a wood burning stove this sitting room creates the perfect homely, relaxing space.
The kitchen looks out on the wild garden, which displays a carpet of colour with mature Achilleas ,Rhododendrons and Dahlias, which provide the perfect habitat for bees and butterflies.
The kitchen contains all mod cons.
The property is situated out in the country on the border of Co Cavan and Co Fermanagh. This makes it ideal for tourists wishing to tour both north & south of the country. Despite the Gate Lodge set in the country side Dublin and Belfast are just two hours drive away, and the local village of Butlersbridge is less than five minutes drive away.

If interested in golf there are also golf courses nearby.For guests who do not mind driving the Gate Lodge is only two and half hours drive to the famous Giant's Causeway in Co Antrim. The Marble Arch Caves is thirty minutes drive. Newgrange heritage Center is one hour drive also. The island town of Enniskillen is again thirty minutes drive.
Cloverhill Gate Lodge is located in the heart of the Cavan lake lands. The river Erne flows through Belturbet which is ten minutes drive away. This property is situated within easy driving distance of three National Trust Houses - Florencecourt House, Castle Coole and Crom Castle. The Share Center, Lisnaskea is twenty minutes drive away This Center offers fun for all the family. Activities include Archery, Banana Boating, Climbing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Circus skills, Orienteering, Sailing and Mountain Biking.
