"I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and quaint the Ahuriri Motels in Omarama were. Checking in late at night was easy since we sent an email beforehand letting them know we would be arriving late. The staff provided clear instructions for how to find our unit. The stay was comfortable, quiet, and spacious. The bathroom was nice, and although the motel wasn't super luxurious, it was well-kept and clean. We really enjoyed our one-night stay during our road trip and appreciated the relaxing break it provided. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"This was just the perfect place to stay, well equipped and very comfortable. Michelle and Neville were lovely hosts and willingly shared information about the area giving us suggestions about where and when was the best time to visit. "

"We were not sure what to expect with our stay here. It is mostly a holiday campground for tents and trailers, but they have 8 hotel rooms for rent. The room and bathroom were spacious with a well-equipped kitchenette. There was a nice patio with chairs and a cafe table. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. The campground personnel were helpful and friendly. The campground is on a lovely lake with hiking trails. Fishing is close by. The location is conveniently located near Twizel. We were pleasantly surprised by our very comfortable accommodations. "

"The facility is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It is noted that this facility is very remote and “out in the middle of nowhere.” We used it as a base to get to Mt. Cook (~90 minute drive) which worked well for us. Finally the bar/restaurant was very convenient with good food. Recommend the facility for a quiet getaway"
