The big surprise was the quality of the food at the hotel restaurant which meant we arrived after a long trip and didn't need to get back out to Figeac to eat out. "The house is a beautiful old building in a large secluded garden, yet very close to the centre of Figeac and an easy walk to shops, restaurants, etc. There is ample free parking in the adjacent public car park. The host is welcoming and very helpful and provided a good Continental breakfast. Our room was large and well appointed, but for us the bed was rather too firm and the bolster and pillow arrangement not to our taste, although this is a traditional French feature so not unexpected. "Just a one night stay, sadly. Easy parking just over the road. Lovely room in top condition. Earplugs kindly supplied to help deal with the road noise from the bridge, but we didn't find it overly disturbing. Breakfast very good, but at 15 Euros the priciest of our trip round France. They also seemed understaffed at breakfast as the same staff were having to juggle reception duties as well."

"We had to walk from train station to hotel with luggage in tow. Reception was closed but the were very accommodating. Rooms were equipped with everything we needed. Thank goodness the weather cooled down because there is no AC. Positives-Hotel arranged transportation back to train station, stored bags and lended us an umbrella. Also the dining room and courtyard looked quaint. Not so positive- the bedding was not comfortable."

"Vriendelijk ontvangen. Het personeel spreekt alleen niet heel veel Engels en spreekt erg snel Frans, dat maakte de communicatie een beetje lastig. "This was a two night stopover to allow us to ride around the Cantel region and, in particular, the rim of the volcano (long since gone). The appearance of th hotel upon arrival gives little credit for how comfortable the rooms are and how pleasing the restaurant is. It is little surprise that the hotel is used by tradesmen and appears to be full all the time. Very pleased with our stay and would recommend."
