Sleepy Bear Hideaway - Fire Pit | Gorgeous Views | New Home | Blue Ridge, Georgia

When it comes to real estate, location is everything. And when it comes to North Georgia Cabin rentals, you can't find a better location than Sleepy Bear Hideaway. Nestled in the woods with a breathtaking view of the mountains, this beautiful jewel box of a cabin takes you worlds away from “real life,” but it's just five minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge and not much more to the area's wonderful wineries, orchards and Lake Blue Ridge.

Driving to the cabin is quick and easy, and when you arrive you'll instantly feel calm, peaceful and relaxed in this cozy home away from home. Decorated in rustic-contemporary style with a wildlife theme and unique details like upgraded woodwork, branch banisters, impressive stonework on the fireplaces and antler chandeliers, Sleepy Bear Hideaway is a warm and welcoming retreat.

Accommodating eight guests in the three bedrooms plus a full-size futon in the loft, the cabin is ideal for a large family or a getaway with the guys, girls or other couples. With a bedroom and bath on each level, you get togetherness and privacy at the same time.

The upper level bedroom has a king bed and bath with double sinks and a walk-in rain shower. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed and bath with tub and shower, as does the downstairs bath. The spacious bedroom on that level has a king bed, a sitting area, and opens onto the porch. It's adjacent to the game room, where you can play pool or watch the 65” TV, one of six in the cabin, which is wired for Internet and cable. There's a DVD-equipped 55” flat screen in the living room, a 42” TV in the loft, and 32” TVs in the bedrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, gas stove and oven, fridge with icemaker, a drip coffeemaker, crockpot, and everything you need to prepare meals, snacks or feed a crowd. The dinner table seats four, plus two at the island. There's a gas grill for your alfresco dining pleasure on the deck and plenty of logs for the wood-burning fireplace. You'll find yourself spending a lot of time outside, watching the sun come up over the mountains with a cup of coffee, taking in the a spectacular sunset, or making s'mores over the fire pit.

Sleepy Bear Hideaway also provides a washer/dryer on the lower level, a level playing area for kids, and gravel driveway. But its homey ambiance, relaxing atmosphere, and the memories you'll make while you're there are the best amenities of all.

Outside Fireplace Paradise
We spent so much time enjoying the outdoor fireplace on the back porch. The quiet was wonderful! If only we had another week to stay! The drive is pretty bumpy on the way up but it was the perfect Location for us. We enjoyed the parade of homes during the day then back to cabin for games/pool. Great time had by all!

Great place, would stay again for sure!
We had a great time at the house. We stayed a week and a half and had some days where we just stayed in. The house was very comfortable, lots of space, no complaints. Kitchen seating is smaller, so if you are cooking in as a family, you'll have to sit at the table or the counter,. Other than that it was very nice!

Beauty in the Mountains!
Our experience was fantastic! The cabin is big beautiful and spacious. It could not have been cleaner and the view was spectacular! The only thing we missed was having a hot tub which it was advertised to have. We will definitely be staying here again and love the entire Blue Ridge area.

Nice home base for Blue Ridge
We had a wonderful time at this property. It was well furnished and very clean. The outdoor fireplace and rear deck were very nice and we also enjoyed the fire pit. The location of the home was very convenient to the city of Blue Ridge and the view out of the back of the home was really nice. The pool table in the lower level was also a fun bonus. We did not want for anything and had a terrific time. Thanks!

A Weekend Away
My husband and I brought our two young sons for some down time over Presidents Day weekend. We enjoyed our trip very much. The house is beautiful and well stocked. We enjoyed walking around downtown and hiking to a waterfall nearby. We roasted marshmallows on the back porch and relished some much needed down time.

An awesome cabin, very clean and modern. The family was extremely pleased and looked forward to making this a yearly ritual to stay in the mountains. The property is immaculate and peaceful, definitely will stay here again.

Immaculate cabin with great views
Positives: - The cabin has 3 bedrooms, each with a large bed (Queen or King) and a nearby bathroom, so it can accommodate 3 couples very comfortably. The bedrooms are all on separate floors so everyone had as much privacy as they wanted. - The cabin was absolutely spotless and very welcoming when we moved in. Kudos to the cleaning crew! - The mountain view from the back porch was wonderful. - The cabin is only about 10 minutes from walmart, ingles, and the Blue Ridge restaurants. - Check-in was a breeze: We just had to punch in a code and unlock the front door. - Check-out was also super-easy. In particular, I appreciate that we could leave all our trash in the container outside when we left. I've stayed in other cabins where you have to haul your trash to a dump 20 minutes away when you leave. Negatives: - As is true with most mountain cabins, the road to the cabin was a bit treacherous to navigate in our minivan. The road was definitely not the worst I've seen, just a bit narrow and bumpy. Fortunately, you're only on the dirt road for about a mile so it isn't too bad. Plus, these roads tend to be the price you pay for the nice mountain views, and it was definitely worth that price. - This criticism is perhaps directed more at VRBO's lack of pricing transparency rather than a problem unique to this particular cabin: The "price per day" listed by VRBO for the cabin was WAY lower than the actual price we paid for each day. The actual price we paid contained so many additional fees and taxes on top of the daily rental rate that the actual price per day was about 50% higher than price listed on the website. This cabin was worth the price we ultimately paid for it, but I much prefer to know the actual cost that I'll be paying up front. Overall: A great cabin that is very professionally managed. I would definitely stay here again.
