"Although we were only at The Marker for one night, it was a great experience. We did arrive earlier than check in time and our rooms were not ready, but it was ready only an hour later. The rooms were clean, with stocked mini bar, fridge, and complimentary water and bathroom products. The terrace was a lovely feature. We did go down to the pool area before dinner and learned that the pool closes at dusk, and the bar closes at 6:00pm. That was disappointing. The location was ideal right on the harbour. A few minutes to restaurants on the harbour, and 10 minute walk to Duval Street. The hotel grounds were quiet, despite being close to Duval Street."

"I read some reviews about mold in bathrooms and things falling apart… we did have a shower faucet that was partially coming off wall but the shower still worked just fine. The hotel has a handful of 2 bedroom suites with 1.5 baths and this was so great for family of 4. Rooms were separated by nice sitting area with couch and tv and kitchenette. The staff were super friendly and kind. We loved that they came from all over— Haiti, Dom Rep, Cuba, Sweden, more. The hotel is right across the street from Smathers Beach which was so great because it has lots of sand and swimming unlike most of the other hotels. The restaurant food was consistently good and the menu big enough to have several meals there and not feel tired by it. The fact that the hotel is 3m from old town was never a problem because of the free shuttle that runs on the hour feom 9am to 11pm. We will be back. "

"Loved the small, quaint grounds with its brick paths and white lights at night in the trees. Staff was always very friendly and extremely helpful. Even when i put my do not disturb tag on the door, i received a text to confirm I did not want service that day and asked if there was anything I needed. Breakfast was delicious!"
