This unique traditional Swiss chalet set 100m from Lake Brienz brings a feeling of tranquility and privacy as you settle down to your well earned break. The chalet is free standing with a private enclosed garden, BBQ outside seating for 4. Ideal as a family or small groups getaway.

Traditional chalet with 70 square metre balcony over looking the spectacular Lake Brienz. The top floor of the chalet has a double bedroom, open plan kitchen, lounge and inside dining for 4 leading out onto the balcony. The balcony has lounge and dining seating for 4, perfect to enjoy breakfast at sunrise or a glass of wine as you take in the amazing alpine glow sunset.

*** IMPORTANT NOTES: This en-suite bedroom on the ground floor of the chalet is accessed from the OUTSIDE stairwell. This is also a very tight fit for more than 4 guests during the winter months.

The chalet has been furnished to a high standard with a fully equipped kitchen, iron, ironing board, washing machine, hairdryer, TV, DVD player, board games, books, children's toys and books. The chalet has private parking and a large enclosed garden.

The chalet is accessible from Interlaken Ost train station by either an enjoyable 15 minute bike ride, 5 minute bus ride, 40 minute walk along the river, taxi or by car.

The property manager gave great directions and correspondence before arrival. The beds were in two separate areas, but the main level bed and bedding were uncomfortable. The separate downstairs and 2nd bedroom doesn't heat up and stay very cold if you have to utilize it which we did with 4 adults. The balcony is very nice and has a great view, parking is easy. I still do not understand why we had to leave cash for the tax and it wasn't billed through the VRBO system. Very inconvenient to have to go get local currency to leave in the envelope when the entire vacation is a non-cash credit card option. Having to pay local fees, and the closest ATM is over 10 minutes away. I would do my own research on restaurants before following the local guide left in Chalot. The area if very nice and communication was great and easy beforehand but may try something different next time due to the quality of sleep.

Best views!
We really enjoyed our time here. I would suggest have a few extra blankets in the living room for guests. Easy walk from the bus stop with the exception of a pretty steep hill to get your suitcases up.

Great Chalet!
Absolutely incredible view with a great balcony. My friends and I had an unforgettable stay. I wish the windows had screens for bugs, and it wasn't easy to fit six of us, but other than that it was near-perfect.

It’s okay
The place needs some work. A lot of things are old and need some updating. The sofa bed is very tiny I wouldn’t consider It a sofa bed maybe a small child fits, It was also very dusty and didn’t have sheets for It. The location is not great, you definitely need a car if staying there. The view though is very pretty of the lake. The balcony is quite big probably bigger than the inside of the house. The bathroom upstairs is tinyy. And gosh the water heater… you will have hot water for not a very long time. We tried to mess around with It so It would heat up for longer but no luck. You will have to take very quick showers. There are spiders in the rooms, a lot of them. The washer works well, the dryer does not. Like I said It needs some newer items in there, definitely feels a bit abandon. For some good things the Wifi works really well! And the heater heats up nicely.

Perfect Cabin Near Interlaken!
The property's location, views, and condition are excellent if you are visiting the Interlaken area. You are a 5-10 minute drive to Interlaken OST (Train Station) where you can catch trains to Jungfrau, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, and Harder Kulm. You are minutes from the twin lakes and views from the property are spectacular (located on a small hill). The patio wraps around most of the second floor and is perfect for meals or drinks overlooking the lake. The driveway is a little tight if you are in a SUV (so be careful backing out) and the street to the cabin is single lane and can only fit one car at a time, but by no means a deal-breaker. There are also supermarkets like Aldi, Lidl, and Coop very close by and the neighborhood where the cabin is located is very clean, quite, and with some charming houses around. The cabin itself is cozy and perfect for four adults. One bedroom is downstairs and one upstairs with an open kitchen/living room. Upstairs bedroom and bathroom are a little tight but do the job. Kitchen has a nice cooktop, fridge, dishwasher, and all utensils - we cooked almost everyday and was well worth it! There is a hot water heater which you may have to reset if four adults shower twice a day but once the tank is full, water is wonderful. Superclean and tasty water directly from the faucet so be sure to fill your bottles instead of spending money on bottled water (which in Switzerland is more expensive than alcohol)! Host was very responsive, left us a bar of chocolate and binder with guide and free local bus/train tickets upon our arrival. Would highly recommend this cabin to any family travelling to the Interlaken area and family of four or up to four adults.

Great location
We stayed here so we could explore the region (Jungfrau, Adelboden, Interlaken, etc) It was perfect for this and it has a spectacular lake view. The house is small and simple but nice and cozy. Parking was easy.

Joli petit chalet
Joli petit chalet avec une très belle vue sur le lac de Brienz.. Les deux salles de douche sont petites et pas très pratiques pour les gens grands mais ça va pour quelques jours. Sinon le chalet est bien équipé et avec une grande terrasse. Le quartier est très calme et agréable. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Great place for our a few days in the Alps
Great view from the spacious balcony/porch! Wonderful for coffee and breakfast in the mornings and had a nice patio covering that could be rolled out. Awesome location right there on the lakes and less than 30 minutes from the spectacular drives and mikes through the alps! Somewhat small on the inside and we did not realize that the 2nd bedroom/bath living space was outside entry only. Kitchen area worked out well for cooking. Overall great place and value!

Great Location
We had a wonderful time. We used the property as a jumping off point to explore the region, as it is nicely located near Interlaken, Jungfrau, Mürren, etc with an easy drive to all. We had a car, but the local transport links look to be very easy and convenient to get wherever you need to go. We had dinner in Bönigen a few times, it was out of season so nothing was busy. With two small children, we didn't use the separate downstairs bedroom other than to store our luggage, and use the second bathroom. We slept on the sofa bed, and the kids had the bedroom, so we could keep an ear out for them. With older children, or separate friends staying, the separate bedroom would get more use. As it was autumn, the property was situated on the shady side of the lake, so we didn't use the outside space as much, but see how this would be great in the summer. Having said this, even just sitting inside, and looking out of the large sliding doors, we enjoyed the scenery and changing weather very much; it made for a relaxing holiday. Everything we needed for cooking and eating was provided, and the owners left very helpful information for the property and region. We had a great time, and are already planning another trip the the region.

The house is exactly as described, comfortable and very nice. Juliet, the owner, was prompt in answering any questions before our trip, very helpful in providing us with things to do, and when we didnt know how to work the washing machine and we called her, she came to the house and explained how it works. We loved the location and the view from the balcony was spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed having dinner outside after a long day's hike. The bus rides into Interlaken Ost were effortless and the whole experience was a pleasure.

Das Haus ist relativ klein aber sehr komfortabel, hübsch, sehr sauber und wunderbar gelegen. Es ist gut ausgestattet und hat einen riesigen Balkon von wo man direkt auf den See schauen kann. Das separate Zimmer mit Bad im Erdgeschoss fanden unsere Kinder super, so konnten sie sich manchmal zurückziehen und etwas für sich bleiben. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Lake View Chalet Bönigen
Ich war mit meiner Mutter und meinen Kindern (fast 5- und 6-jährig) Anfang August im Chalet. Das Chalet bietet eine sehr grosse Terrasse (fast Verdoppelung der Wohnfläche) mit sehr schöner Aussicht auf den Brienzersee, sowie einen privaten Gartensitzplatz mit Grill, eigene Waschmaschine/Tumbler und Privatparkplatz. Obwohl die Zimmer eher klein sind, konnte uns die Unterkunft mit ihrem Charme fesseln und wir würden jederzeit wieder gerne buchen. Die Kommunikation lief absolut unkompliziert ab und war sehr angenehm.

herziges sehr kleines Chalet
Frau Fowles ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Chalet ist hübsch, aber viel kleiner, als ich es von den Fotos her angenommen hätte. Die Terrasse und der Blick aus dem Chalet sind wunderbar, aber bei schlechtem Wetter ist es als Familie sehr eng. Zum Glück gibt es rundherum viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten!
