We’re an owner-managed house, and everything you’ll experience here was made with love! Feel free to contact us using Airbnb messaging for questions. While you won’t see us in person, we’re happy to be of your assistance. By choosing to stay at our home, you’re making a local decision that impacts our lives! Thank you!

Hike directly from the house for incredible views at Sitting Bear or down into Linville Gorge on Brushy Ridge Trail. Incredible backcountry mountain biking can be experienced from the house, same for great road cycling with the infamous 181 climb. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than five miles away and you are about 20 minutes from the Banner Elk ski slopes.

You’ll have full access to the cottage!
There is a security camera at the exterior of the front door that is only accessed if a problem occurs.

Our cabin is located in the acclaimed Pisgah National Forest, just a walk away from Linville Gorge, Table Rock, Wilson Creek and many other stunning natural features.

Enjoy a fully refurbished cabin with high views of the mountains surrounding the home! You’ll stay at the welcoming Gingercake Acres neighborhood, with easy access to great adventures including: hiking, biking, rock climbing, backpacking, and fishing.

The house design was inspired by our travels to the Alps of France. Local Cedar wood was handcrafted to create the bar top, kitchen island and mantle.

Be sure to spark up the indoor fireplace when you arrive! The panoramic windows allow for a great view of the forest as the sun rises and sets. Create lasting memories while sitting with friends and family outside at the fire pit, gazing at the unobstructed view of the night sky with almost no light pollution!

Inside the house, you’ll find two bedrooms, both with individual heating arrangements. In addition to the comfortable mattresses, we provide extra blankets and amenities for a great night of sleep. The second bedroom also includes an extra double mattress for extra sleeping arrangements. You’ll love the modern bathroom as well, with an above-counter sink and corrugated metal shower.

The main area comfortably holds a group, with two main common spaces around the kitchen and fireplace. The kitchen is fully appointed, with a full electric stove, oven, double sink, and morning appliances. Outside, seating is provided on the patio with a great view of the surrounding mountains and sky.

We’re happy to provide you the most exclusive cabin the the Linville and Wilson Creek region of North Carolina. In addition to the fore mentioned amenities, we offer several additions to enhance your stay. Linens and Towels are provided. Need to wash clothes? Washing and drying appliance set is provided. Party games can be found in the closet for a night of fun!

We ask that you limit to 2 pets in this cottage.

We provide a drip style coffee maker and ground coffee for your convenience.

Due to a large increase in booking volume and the cleaning process our team adheres to requiring the full turnover window, early checkin or late checkout aren't possible.

Get ready to plan, because your next adventure starts here!

Transportation: It’s getting cold, but don’t worry about your trip to the cabin! Right until the last tenth of a mile, all roads are paved and maintained for cars of all capability! Be sure to bring hot cocoa, tea, and your favorite warm beverage!

Cute Cozy Cabin on Gingercake Mountain
We came for a reunion with family and friends and had 4 adults comfortably staying for a long weekend. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, with pots, dishes and spices. The porch is nice for relaxing and grilling. There are plenty of comfy spaces in the living room. My hip sister-in-law deemed the cabin cute. We could all tell it had been recently redone.

Lovely place, but chilly
We enjoyed the place -- it is well set up for a mountain stay. Wood is indeed beautiful. Kitchen is great. Appreciated the various apps on the TV. Great location, very quiet except for the nearby construction. We would recommend you not go in cool -- or most definitely cold -- months. The place doesn't have central heat, which is fine, but the heaters it does have are simply not sufficient to keep the house warm. Not pleasant to come home to. My husband is not a cold blooded person, and even he was wearing multiple layers inside. In warm weather, though, it would be great!

Booked for 1 night to split up a drop off trip to Camp Tekoa. Owners were great on communication and very responsive. Trip worked out perfectly so the kids did not have to ride in the car as long. Would recommend this nice little cabin.

We had a wonderful time thank you. The only things that would make our stay better would be wash clothes, a grill that worked, better seating next to the fire pit outside and a better mattress. But your house is spacious, clean and comfortable. Thank you, Denise Coulliette

The location of the cabin could not have been more perfect. A view would have been nice, but it is not advertised to have a view. Cabin so clean and welcoming touches were evident. Great fireplace, nice fire pit!
