"We stayed in the cottage. The location was beautiful and the view breathtaking. Our host Jeff was lovely, prepared a light healthy breakfast each day and always had a recommendation for our day trips. At first glance, the cottage was nicely furnished and neat. "Owners were so nice, bed was great, linens and towels were wonderful. House is very old and only drawback (which is original to the house and should not be changed!) is the bar/latch style door handles. The Violet Room has its private bathroom across the hall landing, but if you get up in the night as we do, you do make a lot of noise rattling those handles! "We had a great time at the house. It had everything we needed and an added benefit of being one floor with no steps for those with mobility issues (we had someone in a wheel chair and it was perfect). It was so pretty to be on the lake and wake up to ice fishers getting their day started. It was an easy drive to Middlebury Snowbowl and Breadloaf. And a quick 20 minuets to campus. We'll have to keep this on our list for future travels to the Middlebury and Lake Champlain area. "
