This a very good hotel, located in a safe neighborhood near the Plaza de Lavalle and the Teatro Colón. You can get around on foot to all the major areas of the city (the Casa Rosada, Plaza de Mayo, Florida, 9 de julio and more. The people at the reception are very friendly and accommodating. The price of the hotel is very reasonable, even including the breakfast, which is $5 US dollars more or less for a smorgasbord.

Room and bathroom were quite dated and looked a bit grimey, however the room was clean and the daily service was very good. Up Viamonte Hotel is a great hotel right in the center of Buenos Aires, at a walkable distance to all of the attractions. Very cordial, friendly and helpful front desk staff. I cannot thank enough Alex and Ruben for their kindness and professional demeanor. Very comfortable bed and pillows. In the past I stayed at other area hotels and find that Up Viamonte is by far the best. Six-stars!

The best part of this hotel is its central location. The rooms need to be updated. Cleanliness is ok - not sparkling but not dirty either. Our room was facing the street and was very noisy. We could also hear every single breath of the people in the neighbouring room.
