Hatteras Sands Camping Resort

2.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (424)
"The stay was overall pretty good. The only thing we found was there are only 2 washers and dryers for the entire campground. 1 washer was broken and there was no change machine to get quarters and the office was closed. Could also use a playground for the little ones as there isnt much for kids on the property other than the pool for summer. "

The house was spotless when we arrived and it was very dog friendly. It’s a little secluded from mini golf, shopping, and movie theaters when the weather is bad but that was the only drawback. "

"Construction: Buxton Tower Top had carpenters replacing all the railings and pickets for the upstairs deck. The arrived every morning Tues-Fri so we could not sleep in or enjoy our bottom deck while construction went on all day. We informed Vacasa Property Management and were offered a 25% refund on the rental for the week which was acceptable to us. Entrance road was covered by deep sand in places. This was not a problem for us as we brought our Jeep, but if we had brought our sedan, we would...
