Motel 6 in Calverton from NZ$122

"We loved everything about it. The front desk attendant was very nice. Made sure we’d received the parking discount and went through all the hotel’s amenities with us. We had a room with a great view, and lots of space. We loved that each floor had fresh water bottles and water to fill/refill them. The lounge area was quite nice with lots of room. The ability to push a button and have freshly ground coffee (Americano, latte, cappuccino and so much more) was quite nice. For the non-coffee drinkers, they do offer a variety of teas. The gym looked nice, although we only used it for the vending machine in case you don’t want to pay for the room snacks. And for those of you who want to know about safety, it’s a wonderful neighborhood, felt very safe. It was in walking distance of the touristy places, including the White House. And I always love hotels the require key cards to use the elevators and get into the hotel after hours. Great place and will be booking here for my monthly trips to D.C. "

"Low price for a hotel less than a mile from Union Station, and just over a mile to the Capitol. Good neighborhood. Some fast-food dining nearby. Full grocery store on same block. Chain drug store across the street. Good value."

"We loved the location of this hotel. The lobby style appeals for young and hip travelers. However, be aware of the size of the rooms. THEY ARE TINY! If you have a big bag or you are on the big and tall size, this room is not for you."
