"The staff was exceptional in their competency, promptness and hospitality. Our room was most spacious and unique and handsome in its design. I love how the tasteful contemporary design throughout the hotel is fused with the original structures of this 19th century building (the travertine staircase with wrought iron grillwork, stone walls and more). This hotel masters also essential things travelers seek like a comfortable bed and pillows, a great shower and a sumptuous breakfast. You can even dine al fresco. The windows are beautifully designed with exterior shutters, heavy glass and then solid interior shutters. This made the room soundproof. This was the first staff willing to lower the room temperature for us (we were traveling off- season and most hotels will not turn on their AC until season starts). The location of the hotel would be the only negative as we like to walk everywhere. This part of Naples is dirty and noisy, but probably safe; nonetheless, we opted to take taxis to the areas we wanted to explore. "

"The area looks sketchy as you approach the property, but looks can be deceiving as we learned. Literally surrounded by some sketchy properties. Poor doesn’t mean unhappy, and angry residents evidently. This hotel is a guarded property and you drive through to an immaculate oasis. The only nice hotel that we saw within kilometres. The appearance around this area looks edgy, and rough. Being from a small town we asked the front desk if it was safe to walk around during daylight hours. We were assured and we did so….and it was one of the greatest trips of our life. The pizza and pastry shops within a two minute walk were mind blowing good and the people were so friendly. There aren’t many tourists on the streets, so off-hotel you’re eating with local people that all look friendly and they’re kind of trying to figure out who you are and where you’re from. The culture in this area is very kind. Front desk clerks are super helpful and the hotel shuttle service will help with short trips. For longer trips, ask for Emilio who has a paid shuttle service. In a 20 minute cab ride, you’ll get tens of hours of local knowledge, where to eat for the best authentic foods, areas to tour, history... A major reason for staying here was a high end property close to authentic pizzerias. And trust me, if you want Napoli style pizza, you’ll be blown away. Generally $5 Euro for a margherita pizza and $8 for the loaded. Give a couple bucks tip at the pizzerias and they’ll show gratitude. "

"Brilliant hotel in a great location and inside a beautiful 1681 building. The rooms and common areas are spacious and cosy and decor is tasteful and beautiful. The hotel provides a coupon for free breakfast of coffee and croissants at cafe foria which is just outside at the bottom of the building. Giangi, the manager is very generous and hospitable. Thanks for the great welcome and stay! Everywhere is walkable so this was a great location away from the massive crowds and yet only 20 mins to the centre."

"We enjoyed our stay here so much that it would bring us back, for sure. Antonia at the front desk and the shuttle driver Mauro were so welcoming and helpful and met all of our needs. They both went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. We chose to not take the shuttle back from the city center so that we could stay later, and people will tell you that Napoli is not safe at night, but we walked over an hour back to the hotel through town, and it was a fine experience. This hotel was a super great find for us!"

"The hotel interior was lovely with an old world feel but with modern amenities. I was only there for one night but would stay there again if passing through Naples. Any negatives about the property are the negatives of Naples itself (the square in front on the hotel was strewn with cigarette butts, garbage and graffiti) and beyond the hotel's control. Barbara at the front desk was lovely and recommended an excellent breakfast spot for that morning as well as assisting us with taxis and airport transfers. We left too early the next morning to try out their breakfast. The accessibility of the hotel is, unfortunately, poor. There are seven steps up to the front desk and the elevator, though the elevator is large enough to fit a standard wheelchair. Other thing to be aware of: the hotel is in a pedestrian zone so taxis or other transportation may not be able to drop off/pick up from the hotel directly depending on their permits or the time of day. Again, not a big deal to walk a block or two, unless you have mobility issues."
