Featured Cabin Rentals in Cape Breton Island

Very cozy quiet and rustic space on a lake.
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (42)
"I have progressing mobility issues. The property is mainly one level, with two tiny steps to the bathroom and a tiny stop to the front door. Shower enclosure, no tub. Rustic, charming property on a small pond with ducks and other wildlife. Owner has done all the renovations to the property himself. The bathroom counter and kitchen counters are slightly raised, which I found very comfortable. Nicely furnished deck with BBQ, which overlooks the duck pond. Patio doors open onto the deck. Fully...

Big Intervale Fishing Lodge
2.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (116)
"If you like solitude and nature, Big Intervale will give you that! The property is beautiful and off the beaten path. There are no services nearby so if you’re visiting off season, be sure to gas up and bring your toothbrush and snacks. It’s a good 20-30 minutes on a dirt road to get in or out of the cabins. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. "

"My husband, baby, and I, along with another couple and their baby, stayed at this cottage during our trip to Cape Breton. The cottage was more spacious than we expected and fit us well. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area was great. Our favorite part was the proximity to the beach! Great sand and swimming, and the location made it perfect for running back and forth with kids. This place is a drive away from any amenities, which we knew, but something to take into consideration."

"Jay's cabin was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, super comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and great location on the Cabot Trail. We enjoyed days exploring the trail and evenings on the porch or walking to the ocean on trails on the property - views from the cliff-top were magnificent. Thanks for a great stay, Jay. "The pictures really don't do the place justice. It's such a beautiful cabin with everything you'd need and it's in a beautiful location with mountain views. Everything was clean and felt brand new. We were also lucky enough to get a good view of the meteor shower thanks to the clear skies in the valley. I would 100% come back to stay here again. Chris amd Kerry were great hosts that provided info on the area and were quick to respond to our messages. The one really unexpected part was the high...

Get Away From it all
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (4)
"When visiting the impressive Louisbourg Fortress I wanted a quiet place away from noisy hotels and I found it. Excellent place to stay above 45 minutes away from the fortress but in the boonies. It’s a small cabin, rustic but with shower, hot water, kitchen, fridge, stove and a cozy bed. The screened in gazebo deck was super nice separating me from the voracious mosquitos. Super clean and a real nice quiet place to stay. Will try to book again when in Cape Breton. "

"The photos don’t do this property justice! The view from the deck is absolutely beautiful and you can see the water! The property manager had great communication with us as the power went out our first night and she was quick to message us and offer to bring candles and flashlights. The kitchen is very clean and nice and there is a heat pump that came in handy. Would highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking for a calm get away. "Property was good but I couldn’t enjoy because I was not able to check in for 3-4 hours because the keys of the door was not working. I tried to call the host multiple times and Also sent them multiple emails and voicemail mail about but they didn’t responded for 3-4 hours. I felt so unsafe in the woods with a space stay in the night and it was my birthday I wanted to celebrate there. I tried to contact on expedia as well but there was also no help. Finally after many hours the host came with...

"Our first time exploring Cape Breton and we made this our base for a few days. We were expecting it be rustic and it sure was - a real old-style beach cabin. The plumbing had a few issues but it delivered hot water no problem. The kitchen is the front entry so a bit crowded. Still, we had a great stay. The porch and picture window allows for great views of the sunset and lighthouses at night. Colin was very helpful with our reservation when we needed to make a change. It seemed a bit...
