"This hotel is very close to Rio Dulce. Very nice pool with a small restaurant. The employees are very nice and helpful. The rooms need updating. Decor and tv were very old. If you are just driving through and need a place to relax outside and just sleep, this is the place. If you are looking for modest to luxury stay and amenities, this is not it. Overall, this place is an ok place."

"This hotel is an experience in itself. Nestled in a mangrove, the hotel is built on stilted walkways. There are turtles and crocodiles (sometimes), but apparently they do not bother people. You can relax at their restaurant or by the pool or choose to participate in activities such as sunrise kayaking to an island with monkeys, a horseback ride, a walk through their farmland, or a day trip to Livingston. "We went to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, staying at Marbrissa Hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was clean but poorly maintained, the bathroom also. After our first couple of hours we noticed a bad leak on the toilet reservoir connecting to the bowl, the staff put us in another room, all was fine. Again the unit was clean but poorly maintained.
