"One step above camping. No hot water to shower. I did find the hostel a safe place to stay. The staff was friendly. "

"At first I was a bit hesitant with booking this place, but was pleasantly surprised. I booked a female only dorm and lucked out as it had one one bunk bed (the bottom bunk being a double) and had the room to myself for the 2 nights. Room was comfortable with fan and AC (I only used the fan), plus my own bathroom. I felt secure as they locked a gate at night, along with room locks. "When you arrive in San Pedro you are a little surprised by the golf carts and the busyness. Then you drive into Ramon’s- It’s a Jewel in the Jungle. You have stepped into a different world. The service is second to none. The restaurant is excellent. Everything is made fresh. The dock and Gazebo at the end are a snorkel’s dream. There Tarpons - more at night, spotted sting rays,and a multitude of other fish under the gazebo. You can either swim front shore or use the ladder on swim deck just beside Gazebo. I could go on and on ,so I have nothing negative in any way to say about this place. It was very special."
