"Great location for family to unwind together with short walk to the beach and wooded area which was great for dog walks. Property was a good size for 8 adults and 2 dogs. Could do with a bit of TLC, few items were broken or unserviceable, ie sunlounges, pool table (warped), radiator not working. Lighting was hard to read by, but cosy. Not as clean as we would expect, Sheets had a stain on one bed and parts of the garden required attention. A warning about mosquitos would be useful, not sure if...

The outside space was beautiful and my mum is disabled but the accommodation made her feel confident and comfortable. "Three days before leaving the UK we were contacted by the owner's agent saying we had to leave a large € deposit (now increased). I offered a credit card but they would only accept a cheque or cash. Appealed to owner who agreed to reduce but still had to leave a large amount in cash. Owner pointed out it was in his conditions. This is not communicated in the booking and I eventually I found it hidden, in French, in a sub menu, under House Rules, on the UK website. On departure we had to get to...

"Villa Roccia is great. Beach just across the road was fabulous for late evening walks…but the pool and hot tub area was the star of the holiday. The village has a couple of grocery shops with a wonderful boulangerie too. Everyone was friendly, especially the host, Carine. Wonderful holiday. Long drive from uk but French roads and drivers are so much calmer than uk, so it was stress free from Calais."
