Grist Mill Cottage in Stecoah, TN
We enjoyed our visit. The owner provided fresh eggs and blackberry jam for our visit. Cozy cottage with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a creek flowing alongside the house. Porches on front and back and a covered bridge made the setting special. Fall leaves falling all around while we were there.

Perfect Relaxing Mountain Cottage
Third time staying here. Enjoyed the town’s annual Harvest Festival this time, which was literally next door to the property. As always, the owners were easy to work with and very accommodating. Everything you need from porch rocking chairs, grill, fire pit, a babbling creek along side the property with lots of activities around the area. We hiked Yellow Creek Falls near by, beautiful waterfall. Until next time….

What a relaxing place.
We stayed here for Miata’s at the Gap and missed several events because we couldn’t pull ourselves away from the porch swing. This was the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. The owners are perfect. Fresh eggs and jam. Fresh tomatoes. We would love to come back for no reason and just chill.
When you step inside this precious cottage, you are taken back in time with the decor. Great location, privacy, country feel and in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. You get to relax on the back porch in rocking chairs while listening to the sounds of the soothing creek beside the property. With all the amenities you'll need, even a grill! We felt safe and snug in this cottage nettled around all the mountains and we will definitely come back. The owners are great to work with as well.

Perfect for our needs
My Dad and I visited for a car event in deals gap and this place worked out perfectly. The house was clean and comfortable. The owner of the property introduced himself and was very nice. The creak next to the house was relaxing to listen to as we sat on the back porch.

Stecoah North Carolina Getaway
The location is quiet, quaint, and beautiful. The mountains and backyard babbling creek were fantastic.. we really enjoyed the back porch rockers in the morning and evening when the sun was out. The cottage is cute and old... needs a paint job as the picture in the listing does not match what we saw upon arrival. Perfect place to relax and unplug.

Enjoy a much needed and very disconnected stay in this cozy cottage.
This was our first time in this cottage. Had no wifi or cell service while we were here. Went home to a tropical storm and a new president elect with little knowledge of either. But definitely well rested.

Clean, quiet, and peaceful
The cottage is exactly as shown in the pictures. It was impeccably clean and provided a great spot to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing weekend in the NC mountains. The main purpose of our trip was to ride the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad and whitewater raft down the Nantahala River. The cottage is about 20 mins from Bryson City, which made getting to the activities simple.
The hosts left us some eggs and grape jelly which were delicious and appreciated! The hosts were easy to communicate with and made the check in and check out process very easy. Definitely recommend this place.

This place was amazing. Perfect location.
Love, love , love this property and the owner out did herself with the eggs and jelly but also bringing over another coffer pot for us. This was the perfect spot for the two of us. I think the owner should include the history of the place in her brochure.

Cottage by the Creek
This cute little 2 bedroom cottage is a on a quiet back right next to a soothing creek. The beautiful covered bridge gets you to the property. It was very nicely decorated for our October stay. There are rocking chairs on the front and back porch. So relaxing to rock and listen to the creek flowing by. The decor takes you back in time and is in very good condition. Both beds were comfy and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed. Phyllis had a dozen eggs, fresh tomatoes from her garden and a jar of homemade grape jam waiting for us. The cottage was close to Tsali and we mountain biked 2 days. We went to Cherokee and went horseback riding at Smokemont Riding Stables and then spent a day hiking in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. This cottage was is the perfect place for our activities and peaceful to be in when we returned. The local Stecoah Diner had delicious meals and is close by also. We would stay here again if we are in the area

Peace, quiet and views
We needed to get away. It was amazing. The views as you can only find in the mountains. Stream right outside the window (we could not sleep to it, October nights are already too cold for open windows). There's no internet, but if you can't live without it, mountains are not for you :) There actually is open wifi at community center just past playground behind the house. It is older house but it is enough to stay, I was bit worried we'd woke up cold but the windows held the cold out and heating did its job. Yeah, it may look worn, but it still is good enough to live in.
All towns are around 20 minutes. We went to the Fontana Dam. Rafting is at least 2 hours business so better get to any of the couple of the centers 1pm at the latest.
Plus what every other first said, grapes jelly and like a dozen fresh eggs :D
Thank you Phyllis, we hope we can come back.

Great experience
The property was just as expected from the website. Very nice, clean cottage right off the main road. Owner was super nice and had us fresh eggs, homemade grape jelly, and homegrown tomatoes upon arrival. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone wanting the mountain experience without the town noise and traffic. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
