Drive on the famous Cabot Trail, one of Canada's most famous scenic routes, just minutes from our front door. Drive north 5 minutes to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, with its hiking trails, waterfalls, picnic areas, breathtaking vistas and wildlife.
You'll be a 5-minute drive south to Cheticamp, with its world-famous music, restaurants and seafood. The historic town has a cafe, grocery co-op, farmers market, and liquor store. You can even go on a whale-watching cruise from the marina!
House Details: 3 upstairs bedrooms, and a full-size long sofa bed in downstairs living room. Sleeps 5. One bathroom upstairs with shower. Large deck with ocean views, and a fire pit in the spacious yard. Modern no-charge washer and dryer. Full kitchen with supplies. A 10,000 BTU portable air conditioning unit is available for use downstairs. All windows have screens and can open/latch.
Free high-speed 1.5Gb/s fiber internet -- sufficient for video conferencing and streaming. Spacious outdoor parking and available Tesla EV charger. Note: there is no television or dishwasher. There is a floodlight/security camera facing the driveway only.
Caretakers Roger and Priscille live in the area (Roger was born in this very house!). They will meet new arrivals and be available for any and all questions and assistance in English or in French.
