The Classic Villa

5.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (481)
"This was a comfortable place to stay with pleasant older style character run by friendly and helpful people. It would have been good to have contact a bit earlier about how to check in but that may have been at least partly my fault in that I only made contact the day before I arrived. It was clean, comfortable and secure. There was some street noise but that is to be expected in a central location. The shower in my room made a screeching noise and seemed to take a long time for the water to...

Orari Bed and Breakfast

4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (129)
"The hosts were excellent - very welcoming and went the extra mile for our kids when they asked to pat the dog or for a hot chocolate at breakfast time. The five-o-clock wine time was a lovely chance to chat with other guests from around the world. Very convenient location. Only downside is that it's an older building so the noise from Christchurch's boy racers can be irritating at night. A minor problem. We would definitely stay again."

We chose a room with a jacuzzi bath which was great. It’s situated near the main road but we didn’t find it loud inside our room. Facilities for food prep were useful and we made our own breakfast and light lunch. There are great cafes and restaurants very nearby too, great quality and budget prices. There is a good shopping...
