"I booked a single room at the Grand for a one-night stay. The room was inland facing and did not have a view but it was very modern and smart, with a lovely marbled shower room. The room was very quiet and I slept better than I had in ages. Breakfast was excellent - a wide variety of buffet items. All the staff were extremely helpful."

"Great location although parking was at a public parking garage next to the hotel luckily the hotel offer a discounted rate as the standing charge for 24 hours was £40.50 which is quite expensive. Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly our room which was an upgrade to partial sea view king size was excellent, great size, comfy bed and large walk in shower. Extras included bottled water which in the summer is a great extra. There was the usual tea/coffee available and the room had a fridge...

"The room and public areas were overall in very good condition and clean. The bathroom showed a few signs of wear but nothing to affect the stay. The room was fairly basic but I appreciated the en suite. The staff were very helpful and polite. Parking isn't all that straightforward. Street parking is tight, or alternatively you can use Chapel Street car park which I wouldn't recommend to nervous drivers due to some tight spots and corners entering and exiting the facility."

"Selina is in a super convenient location for the seafront and plenty of places to eat, close to a lot of bus routes. However, one of the nights I stayed was very noisy outside, even with the windows shut - it was quite difficult to fall asleep with a lot of yelling/drunkenness. However, the hotel itself is lovely - nice decor, nice simple breakfast, good shower, plenty of towels, good bedding, good wifi. "

"This was a lovely hotel, very central to all the areas we wanted to visit. The rooms were quirkily designed and the bar area was stylish. The staff were so friendly and very helpful and the ability to park onsite was a bonus. Unfortunately I could hear the music from a nearby bar until the early hours on the Saturday we stayed, although my partner slept through. I would be happy to stay again in a different room."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Harbour hotel. Front desk staff were really friendly/helpful and I was impressed by how CLEAN (i have high standards) and cosy the rooms were. The single room was smaller that i expected in person, the ensuite actually feels bigger than the bedroom but it was so nice and cosy and they added a good quality desk fan to help with help with the ventilation which was a nice touch. Also! full length mirror if you like those! The beds in particular have fantastic...

"Had a really lovely time staying here for 1 night. Staff are very helpful and polite. Room was amazing. Yes it is an old building so there is going to be some tied look in places. The only down side is the parking if you can get in the hotel parking ( limited spaces ) its 25 pounds for the night . Apart from the parking which i went off one of the side streets and found somewhere but just to warn you its not easy. Had an evening meal at the hotel and it was very good and great value for money....

"This was my first solo trip away so I was hoping everything would be smooth and stress free, which it was. The hotel is faceless (didn’t see any staff on site) and keyless meaning you check yourself in with a code and email them when you check out, to be honest suited me and no issues.
